Virgin Voyages offered a rare opportunity: the chance to spend four full weeks on the same ship without the hassle of switching cabins, repacking, or changing ships. Each week brought a new itinerary of ports across France, Italy, and Spain, but the ship remained my home base the entire time. It was a dream come true for someone who loves the freedom of solo travel combined with the luxury of cruising.

In this first part of my video series, I’m answering the most common questions I received about the experience:
- What exactly is the Summer Pass and how does it work?
- Did I stay in the same room for all four weeks?
- Was this my first time cruising with Virgin Voyages?
- Why I chose to do this trip solo—and how it made the experience even betterList Item
- What it was like living aboard the ship day after day
- And, of course—did I ever get tired of the food?
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to live at sea or take a solo cruise vacation, this series is for you. Watch Part 1 below to get a behind-the-scenes look at life aboard Scarlet Lady as a long-term sailor.
To be continued… stay tuned for future episodes covering favorite ports, making friends at sea, and whether I’d do it all over again!
