Las Vegas, Nevada
We were scheduled to make a trip to Las Vegas at the end of March but the airlines had other ideas. Unfortunately, our flight was canceled when we were 5 minutes from the airport. Since we were so close-by, we continued to the airport to see what our options were to make our trip. Since weather had also caused some cancellations the day before, the domino effect had passengers from the day before and our travel day pushing the flights in the next two days to be fully booked. Since were were going to arrive with only one day left of our scheduled trip, we ended up canceling and making alternate plans.
Biloxi, Mississippi
Since our flight was canceled, we decided to take our casino cash to Biloxi Mississippi, where we stayed in a Gulf View room at the Beau Rivage hotel and casino which sits right on the Gulf of Mexico. While the slot machines may have kept my cash, we did enjoy a lovely dinner at the BR Prime steak house, and the view from our room was beautiful while we eased into our day.

Princess Cruises
I’m beyond excited to have booked a 22 day cruise to Alaska on Princess Cruises in June. This will be the first time I’ve sailed with Princess but they are one of the most popular lines in Alaska and the longer cruise will give me lots of time to get to know the cruise line, and also visit 11 different ports on this cruise in Canada and Alaska.
This cruise had a great promotional pricing since it is during the shoulder season for Alaska. We’ll be stopping in Ketchikan, Wrangell, Haines, Sitka, Valdez, Seward, Icy Strait Point, Skagway, and Juneau Alaska plus Vancouver and Victoria Canada.
