Updates to Virgin Voyages Dining Reservations

Meatballs
A favorite amount many Virgin Voyages travelers: the meatballs at Extra Virgin
If you’ve sailed longer cruises on Virgin Voyages, you may have been frustrated by the one-reservation-per-specialty-restaurant rule that applied to certain length sailings. Good news! Virgin Voyages has updated its dining reservation policy to make it easier for Sailors to enjoy their favorite restaurants multiple times, based on the length of their cruise.

Maybe Pink Agave is your favorite spot onboard, and you want to dine there twice. Or perhaps you’re on a transatlantic voyage and prefer dining at specialty restaurants more frequently. Thanks to these changes, you now have more opportunities to indulge in the incredible food onboard.

Updated Limits for Dinner Reservations

  • 1-5 night cruises: 1 dinner per restaurant

  • 6-8 night cruises: 2 dinners per restaurant

  • 9+ night cruises: 3 dinners per restaurant

And don’t forget—you can book brunch at The Wake and Razzle Dazzle as many times as you like with no restrictions!

Dinner served at The Wake
The Wake is one of my favorites and I've had the lamb chops there several times. Don't miss the bone marrow béarnaise sauce!

Specialty Restaurants That Require Reservations

The updated reservation policy applies to the following specialty dining venues:

  • Pink Agave (Upscale Mexican cuisine)

  • Gunbae (Korean BBQ with a fun, social experience)

  • Razzle Dazzle (Vegetarian-forward with fun twists on classic dishes)

  • The Test Kitchen (Experimental and innovative tasting menu)

  • The Wake (Classic steakhouse and seafood)

  • Extra Virgin (Italian trattoria with handmade pasta and delicious small plates)

Salad
It's technically a salad since there is lettuce, but the blue cheese, hardboiled egg, and bacon are the real show offs here.

A Few Reminders About Booking Dinner Reservations

  • Booking opens 45 days before your voyage (or 60 days in advance if you are a Rockstar).

  • Only about 1/3 of reservation slots are released in advance. If you don’t get your top choices pre-cruise, don’t stress—the remaining spots will be available onboard.

  • Traveling with friends? Connect with them as contacts in the Virgin Voyages app so you can add them to your dinner reservations.

  • Some restaurants may have walk-in availability, but this will depend on how full your sailing is.

Tapas plates
When I first get on board, I love to visit The Dock for out small bites and my first cocktail. No reservations necessary.

Plenty of Delicious Options Even Without Reservations

If you aren’t able to snag a dinner reservation at your top pick, don’t worry—Virgin Voyages offers plenty of fantastic dining options without reservations:

  • The Galley – A food hall-style marketplace with a variety of options, open all day.

  • Pizza Place – Perfect for late-night cravings (and one of my personal favorites!).

  • The Dock House – Small bites with Mediterranean flair (and yes, you can order extra!).

With this updated reservation policy, you now have even more flexibility to dine at your favorite spots multiple times, making your cruise experience even better. Bon appétit and happy sailing!
